Updated Tour Dates
Wednesday, July 20th, 2011
We just updated loads of new shows and ticket links right here on amigoamigarecordings.com. The remainder of this year is full of great shows. For the Cliff’s Notes, see the following:
This weekend, Kelli Schaefer will be playing a show in Tacoma, and a house show with Damien Jurado in Seattle, as well as PDX Pop Now! this Sunday night; not to mention Doe Bay Fest next month, Music Fest NW in September, and the Seattle Weekly Reverb Fest this October.
Drew Grow & the Pastors’ Wives just came back from a west coast tour, and are preparing for a busy few months ahead. KEXP and No Depression will present their Concerts at the Mural series in August, featuring Drew Grow & PW on the 26th. In September the band will play Music Fest NW with The Thermals, the Tractor Tavern in Seattle with Widower and Whalebones, and The Shakedown in Bellingham with Baltic Cousins. Come October, the band will head out towards Texas, and will meet the Devil Whale and Telegraph Canyon along the way, before meeting up with the insanely great Merge Records band Wild Flag for a couple of weeks between Texas and Vancouver B.C.
Look to your left for links to tickets and get them quickly – so many of these shows will be sold out, so get them while you can. And look in the record stores near you (nation-wide) for CD and Vinyl copies of the albums – due in stores August 16. If they don’t have it, request it!
PHEWW! Let’s do this.
Team Up For Non-Profits

Kelli Schaefer will play a benefit show Thursday, June 30th at the Columbia City Theater. The show is hosted by Seattle group Team Up For Non-Profits & Gigs For Good, and will benefit the non-profit Arts Corps.
Local Seattle band Curtains for You will headline the event as well.
Tickets are $20 for the cause (an exhaustive explanation of the show and what Arts Corps does, can be found here on the ticket page or here on their official site). Willamette Week Best New Band
Wednesday, May 4th, 2011
Every year here in our hometown of Portland, OR one of our local rags Willamette Week sends out a simple email to 160 or so people working in the Portland music industry. “Send us your top 5 bands you discovered this year.” They tally up the votes and declare a winner of Portland music for the year followed by the next nine top votes. This year, Kelli Schaefer made the list, right in the middle at number five. You can read an article about the Blazers (or, Kelli?) here if you’re curious about it. Thanks Portland!
This is how we voted if you’re curious:

Drew Grow in Portland
Tuesday, April 26th, 2011
It’s been some time since Drew Grow & the Pastors’ Wives played in Portland; six months to be exact. Following that lame car accident that had Drew holed up at home with leg elevated and successfully avoiding an addiction to pain meds, the band has been all but silent since the end of 2010. Finally, Drew and crew have a new van, and are scheduled to play at the Ella Street Social Club on May 14, a room formerly known as the Towne Lounge, which was always a band favorite place to play. There are very few tickets available, and the show is well on its way to sold out already – so advance tickets are necessary if you want to catch this show. Tickets are just $7 in advance, and in the unlikely event that any remain at the door, they will be $10 (which.. hint/hint.. is more than just buying them in advance even if you include service charges.)
Anyway, thought we would give you the head’s up. Talk soon. Here’s that new van I was telling you about. “Pride in Ownership”
